Bike Sense Motorcycle Courses

Motorcycle Courses

Bike Sense are proud to offer a number of proven motorcycle courses for novice riders through to those who have been riding for many years. Whatever your level of experience, take your skills to the next level with one of our professional DSA approved motorcycle courses in Cambridge. First an overview of the training types:

Compulsory Basic Training (CBT)

All learners must complete a Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) course before riding a moped or motorbike on the road. The CBT certificate must be presented before any Practical Test can be taken.

Bike Sense runs a number of motorcycle courses that include CBT.

Restricted 33bhp Licence

Once a CBT course has been completed, riders over 17 and under 21 can test for the full category A motorcycle licence, restricted to 33bhp for two years. Riders over 21 also have the Direct Access option.

Direct Access Scheme (DAS)

A learner over 21 that has completed a CBT course and Theory Test can immediately take a Practical Test on a motorbike with a power output of at least 35kW (46.6bhp). This will entitle you to ride any motorcycle.

Advanced Training

Even if you have been riding for years, you could still benefit greatly from taking one of our Advanced Training motorcycle courses. These are designed to take your riding ability to the next level.

Race and Track Days

Ever fancied a day on the race track? Bike Sense will arrange a day of learning the core techniques for track racing, safely and competently. Everything is under close supervision from Head instructor Martin Wright.
