Restricted 33bhp Licence
A learner motorcycle rider under 21 has the option to take two types of practical test:
- Sub-category A1 light motorcycle which allows you to ride motorcycles up to 125cc (11kW / 14.6bhp), or
- The standard category A2 which allows you to ride any motorcycle with a power output of up to 25kW (33bhp) and a power to weight ratio not exceeding 0.16kW / kg.
The test will be taken on a 125cc motorcycle and having passed you will be restricted to motorcycles with a maximum output of 33bhp for two years.
How much does it cost?
Introduction (3 sessions) including CBT - £220
4 session Direct Access (experienced) - £390
5 session Direct Access (some experience) - £490
7 session Direct Access (complete novice) - £590
30% discount for second rider on all motorcycle courses except CBT
